Before joining Coronation Street, Martin Sterling was already an established author of non-fiction, co-writing books about some of the defining figures and franchises of popular culture. His pre-2004 books included titles on Morecambe and Wise, Cary Grant and James Bond, combining biography, entertainment history and cultural commentary. Some earlier titles are now out of print, but they remain an important part of his wider writing career.
